How we calculate this

Volume = length (ft) × width (ft) × height (in ÷ 12), converted to cubic yards by dividing by 27. We add your waste margin (10% by default) on top, then split the total into a topsoil / compost / aerator mix by percentage. Bag counts are rounded up — you can always have a little extra soil, never too little.
