Plot & Plank (“we,” “us”) is an independent website run by an individual publisher. You can reach us at hello@plotandplank.com. This policy explains what information we collect through plotandplank.com, why, and what choices you have.

  • Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you include in your message to hello@plotandplank.com.
  • Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected automatically and in aggregate through Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: once ads are enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies, and we'll remember your cookie consent choice. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We don't have accounts, sign-up forms or a mailing list, so we don't collect anything else from you.

How we use this information

We use it to reply to your messages, understand which pages are useful, serve advertising once it's enabled, and improve the site. We don't sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We rely on the following providers:

  • Vercel — hosting, analytics, and speed monitoring.
  • Cloudflare — domain, DNS and email forwarding.
  • Google AdSense (once ads are enabled) — display advertising, which may use cookies to personalize ads.
  • Amazon Associates (once affiliate links are live) — see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Your choices and rights

Once ads are enabled, visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland will see a consent banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they load. If you're a US resident in a state with a privacy law (e.g., California's CCPA/CPRA), you can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information for advertising. To ask us to delete emails you've sent, write to hello@plotandplank.com.

Data retention

Emails are kept until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous usage analytics is retained per Vercel's standard retention period.

Children's privacy

Plot & Plank is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
