How we calculate this

Area = length × width. Paver count = area ÷ each paver's coverage (width × length in inches, divided by 144 — a 4×8 in brick covers 0.22 ft², so 4.5 per square foot). Gravel base (4in by default) and sand (1in by default) volumes come from area × depth, converted from cubic feet to cubic yards; gravel weight is estimated at 1.4 tons per cubic yard, which you can adjust for your specific material. Everything includes your waste margin.
