How we calculate this

Area = length (ft) × width (ft). Volume = area × depth (in ÷ 12), converted to cubic yards by dividing by 27. We add your waste margin (10% by default) on top, then convert to 2 ft³ and 3 ft³ bag counts, rounded up — you can always spread a little extra, never too little.
